Building A Strong Foundation For Your Child's Future

Closings

In cases of inclement / severe weather events, we will follow the same procedures as the Vestavia Hills City School System.  If for some reason the center must close in the middle of the day, the staff will remain until the children have been picked up. There is no reduction in fees for closings because tuition reserves a slot for each student.  We will notify parents about potential closing via email and post notice on your class WhatsApp Group.

Center Hours

We are open Monday through Friday 6:30 am until 6:00 pm.

Curriculum

Teachers prepare their own weekly lesson plans and post the schedule outside of their classroom.

Discipline

POSITIVE procedures of praise, encouragement and rewards are provided to motivate children to behave within Rocky Ridge Learning Center rules.  If corrective action is needed, warnings, time out and loss of privileges are given.  Discipline is always corrective, not punitive.  Parents will be notified if problems persist.  Students who continue to misbehave despite corrective measures will be disenrolled.

PARENT’S ROLE

Sickness Policy

Children will be sent home if he/she has:

  • Diarrhea
  • Fever (100 or higher)
  • Vomiting
  • Severe ear ache
  • Rash
  • Pink eye

Students who become sick at school must be picked up as soon as possible, preferably within the hour of parent / guardian being notified.  Parents / Guardians will be contacted if it is determined that a student is too ill to remain at school. Children may not return to the school until a doctor has released the child or all symptoms have disappeared.

Our first priority to the children and staff is to avoid the spread of any type of infection throughout the center.  We do understand that this may result in an inconvenience to busy work schedules.  However, we ask for your support with enforcing our sickness policy.

WELCOME TO ROCKY RIDGE LEARNING CENTER

Hello!

Thank you for your interest in our center!

I want to thank you for considering us for your childcare needs. We offer a loving, safe, and educational environment for your child to grow, learn and play. Each day will be filled with fun and exciting adventures to help your child develop academically and socially. The classes will be learning and exploring many concepts and themes throughout this year

Our mission at RRLC is to instill in each child a strong sense of self-worth and purpose, and to prepare them mentally and emotionally for the transition to the formal classroom environment.

I would like to invite you to tour our center, see our classrooms and meet the teachers. I know you will find a warm, friendly and fun environment where we care for your children the same way we care for our own.
